I had suffered for 3 weeks with a bad back which had me laid up in bed for most of this time. I’d had 2 trips to a local osteopath and told would take many visits to put my problem right. – I went to Liz yesterday who told me I was daft for not coming to her sooner, She was so right. I spent 1 hour with Liz and I’m on the road to recovery, doing the exercises she gave me. I can walk and more importantly sit down now !!!!!! Go see Liz if you have a bad back she works magic……………..Thank you so much Liz looking forward to my next visit, but taking it easy in the meantime I promise.

20th April 2010 To: Elizabeth Rugg-Easey

In June09 I decided after many years of carrying too much weight that I would do something about it. Initially I planned to have gastric bypass surgery. I attended a consultation at St Richards’s hospital in Chichester which has a specialist obesity unit. Although I was extremely impressed with the unit it struck me that none of the patients I met whilst I was visiting looked very healthy or had really tackled their underlying problems. They also faced a life of not being able to eat properly ever again and having to take vitamin supplements indefinitely. However I did decide to go ahead with the surgery even though there was a 1 in 150 chance of not surviving the operation. I had reached desperation point and it seemed the only option having spent many years unsuccessfully trying to lose weight.

I by chance had a meeting with an anaesthetist who said that I was an anaesthetist’s nightmare because of high blood pressure, sleep apnoea and general lack of fitness and why the hell did I not try a personal trainer and one more try at a serious diet before I underwent the surgery. Thankfully something he said struck home and I contacted Liz through a friend of mine and on the 23June 2009. I started training sessions with Liz. I found Liz to be a great personal help during the first four months of my training. Having the regular commitment to meet someone without fail three times a week was a huge incentive. She is very enthusiastic and I thoroughly recommend her or anyone in a similar position.

The diet that I have followed has been entirely my own and consists of fish, lean meat fruit and vegetables. I eat absolutely on time three times a day and do not eat between meals. I do not believe in weighing myself and I have not been weighed since I started my diet. I can tell you though that from my clothes I have lost at least half my body weight in ten months. I have taken no pills or potions and had no operations. My blood pressure has returned to normal and my sleep apnoea disappeared after six weeks of starting.

I am due to run the London Marathon on Sunday 25th April 2010 and this can give you an idea of how my health status has improved.

Elizabeth or as she is affectionately known Liz, is amazingly good at what she does. What sets her apart from others offering the same type of treatment is, I would suggest her totally sharing, caring attitude in offering a level of service and information way beyond the call of duty.

Her total understanding of the workings and needs of the human body is second to none and her ability to share this with her patients’ interest in mind is made easy to understand.

I have been a client/patient of Liz s for many years and without her help and advice my life could have been made quite miserable. I would recommend her services to anyone and can only suggest that every home should have one!

Elizabeth has played a vital role in my training and recovery from injury to help me win both the 2006/7 UK strongest Man (Under 105kg) and the 2010 British Drug free Power lifting Associations 110kg British Open Title. Her knowledge and expertise in the field of injury prevention and core strengthening is second to none.

I met Liz 4 years ago, when a friend referred me to her. Liz has treated a number of my sports injuries since then and I currently have fortnightly sports massage therapy sessions for ongoing advice and to help prevent further injury.

I am now running more than ever before, with less injury problems. I feel Liz has made a huge difference to my physical ability as a runner, and her positive outlook has helped to maintain my motivation for fitness.  Thank you Liz!

“Elizabeth has just provided me with pain relief from Sciatica using a course of ‘Spinal Touch’ therapy sessions and massage. I had used her services previously and found that she was able to use her many years of experience to help where needed and in a way that would help me the most. She has always provided high standards of care and service but more importantly, she gives far more than she receives and is genuine in her desire to help others if she can. I can’t express my gratitude to her enough and would certainly recommend her services to others.”

I am a tall, 60 year old accountant with chronically poor posture which has resulted in many years of back pain and severe tension in my neck and shoulders. I have received treatment with various osteopaths and chiropractors but any benefits were short lived.

Liz was recommended to me by a colleague at the time she was setting up Rugg-Easey Fitness and Therapy. I believe I was one of her first clients and I have been receiving regular treatment ever since.

My mobility was decreasing to an alarming level and the movement in my neck was so limited I had to turn my whole body to look sideways making driving very uncomfortable and difficult. Liz has transformed my life with her astounding armoury of techniques, skills and dedication. She relishes the challenge of a new problem and does not rest until she has solved it. Until now she has never let me down and has managed to find a way of curing all manner of problems including two frozen shoulders and trapped nerves. I rarely have back problems now and when I do they normally last one or two days at the most compared with the weeks and months of suffering previously.

More recently, Liz has provided me with an exercise programme and is encouraging me to build up my muscle and exercise regularly. I am, along with my wife, also attending one of her weekly Pilates classes. I didn’t get the choice! I am pleased to say that my mother, in her late eighties, finally agreed to have some treatment with Liz. Like me, her mobility also deteriorated but in her case very rapidly. She reached the stage where she could only walk very short distances. She refused to have treatment for many months and, although in my heart I felt she had left it too long, I finally persuaded her to have a home visit from Liz. A few days after the first treatment my mother, amazingly, managed to walk around a garden centre and a shopping centre on the same day.

As I mentioned previously, when I first met Liz I had very bad posture. I still do and have been working on it from then until now. During all that time Liz has been reminding me to “pull in and pull up”. A lesser person would have given up on me but Liz has a remarkable passion for her job and I am always confident that whatever pain I present her with she will be able to sort it out. I am always wary of recommending people but I would never worry about recommending her because I know what she can achieve.
